AAC 2012 Racing Rules Proposal

January 18, 2012 Press Release

The Classic Racing Series is presenting "AAC 2012 Racing Rules" as an attempt to combine the Classic Racing Series and the All American Outlaws. These rules are DRAFT rules only and are not to be construed as adopted. This is an attempt to publicly include all interested parties in reaching a resolution that is a win-win for everyone. Posturing on either side is a hindrance and will be a continued distraction to the process.

It is now public that NO racing for EITHER organization will take place at Trail-Way Speedway or Susquehanna Speedway Park unless we work together to combine both organizations. Realistically, it will not end with T-W and SSP. Tracks respect a healthy car count and tracks reward a healthy car count. Between the classes we have a combined 40+ car count. This combined count will allow us to negotiate in good faith with not only the two listed tracks but with other venues.

Each group brings opportunity to grow the combined series. Resources that can not be overlooked includes used car components, replacement chassis parts along with new chassis, full bodies along with body components, all which are exclusive to our cars. The most important commodity is the collective efforts of both organizations to increase exposure and bring much needed marketing opportunities to the racing community.

I realize that many details exist and are currently unanswered. We must first agree to move forward and decide who from each organization will represent the process. We must place confidence in whoever is chosen to do what is best for the organization. Wavering and second guessing will only bring frustration and prolong the process.

Thank you for your consideration.

HTMA named as Exclusive Parts Supplier for CRS

September 24, 2010- The Classic Racing Series is proud to announce that effective immediately, Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic will be the preferred racing parts supplier of the Series. “We are excited about this agreement with HTMA; they understand racers, because they are racers. We see this as just the beginning of a win/ win relationship” says Jim Crocker with the Classic Racing Series.

What this means to the Series comes down to convenience and simple economics. HTMA provides a vast catalog selection of racing parts with local over the counter service. Located in Finksburg, Maryland, HTMA is at the geographical center of the Series participants shops. With an increasing stock of parts at the store along with quick catalog service, HMTA is the one stop shop for all the Series racing parts as well as the Hoosier E-Mod tire used by the Series.

All Series participants will be able to take advantage of an exclusive discount program on racing parts and accessories.   With every racer watching their budget this discount is great news.  “We are committed to serving racers, so it’s great to be able to support the Series in this way.” notes Bob Wirts, General Manager of HTMA. “In the Classic Racing Series, it is talent that wins races, not pocketbooks.  They have gone to great lengths to document each component of the cars and create an equal playing field which leads to great racing.”

The Classic Racing Series still has several events left this season and will be entertaining fans next on October 8th and 9th at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex. Then the following weekend they travel to “The Rock” Allegany County Speedway, and conclude the 2010 season at Susquehanna Speedway Park on November 6th  with the 2nd Annual “Susky Shootout”.
